Love Song Dance

We were welcomed into the Marae at Te Puia centre in Rotorua with a wonderful custom then entertained by a love story, song and dance. 'Marae' is the name for house in Maori language, and with much cultural significance are shared by many families.


After visiting the marae, we went for a walk in the bush - we found someone there in the bush!

Geyser Wonderland

Some pictures from last year. It's minerals that have been deposited by the Geyser that gives white colour. Will we see geyser?


Here it is, on time as scheduled!

Actually, they put some kinds of salts in the geyser to encourage the eruption on time (lot of people waiting to see)! It would erupt naturally, but for this geyser, it cannot be predicted when I believe.

On the way back through the wildlife sanctuary, we didnt manage to photograph any birds in the wildlife sanctuary (they were too fast), but there were alot of bright coloured fungi.

Purest Water

Artesian Water Monument, bringing water from the underground supply, the water is clean due to the years spent in the underground acquifer, and there are no chemicals added.

Next to the monument, a water fountain where locals and visitors come to bottle the purest water I have ever tasted.....

You never know with whom you might share this walking track between the sea and the hills

Scary Spider

Scary spider from New Zealand..... it has the two front legs like big claws... found out it's a jumping spider, it can jump up to 40cm onto its prey uurrrgghhhh!
